Join us.\n AECOM's Building Services Engineering team is expanding and we are looking to hire a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong Data Center experience to support the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise clients.\nIn this role, you will contribute to the development of resilient and high-performance electrical infrastructure, working alongside multidisciplinary teams across all project phases, from concept design through to construction support.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design of MV/LV electrical systems for Data Centers.\nDevelop critical power infrastructure including substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, STS, PDUs, and grounding systems.\nDefine and review redundancy architectures (N, N+1, 2N, 2N+1).\nPerform and review electrical studies such as load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and reliability analyses.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary designs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.\nReview calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.\nParticipate in client meetings, technical presentations, and proposal development.\nSupport the development of energy-efficient and sustainable electrical solutions for mission-critical facilities.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work on complex, large-scale Data Center projects for leading global clients.\nExposure to international, multidisciplinary teams and industry-leading technical expertise.\nFlexible working arrangements and a strong focus on employee wellbeing.\nA collaborative environment that supports professional growth, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.\nCompetitive compensation package.\nThe chance to contribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for mission-critical facilities.\nClear career development opportunities within a global engineering and infrastructure consultancy.\n Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\nAt least 6 years of experience in electrical design, with experience in Data Centers, mission-critical facilities, or similar high-performance environments.\nProfessional working proficiency in both English and Spanish.\nStrong knowledge of IEC, NFPA, IEEE, BS, and EN standards.\nProficiency with ETAP, Caneco, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.\nExperience leading engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
