Join us.\n We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the Resident Engineer in overseeing construction activities and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved schedules. The role involves supervising site inspections, reviewing technical submissions, monitoring construction progress, coordinating with contractors, and providing technical guidance to site teams while ensuring compliance with contractual and project requirements.\nReview Inspectors’ Daily Reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.\nPrepare the Engineer’s Daily Diary summarizing daily activities, key progress, and observations.\nProvide general oversight of Inspectors’ daily activities, including task assignments, on-site performance, and technical guidance.\nReview Contractor’s inspection, surveying, and testing requests and evaluate subsequent reports for conformance with specifications.\nReview and approve Contractor’s shop drawings, materials, and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.\nMonitor and verify the performance of the Contractor’s survey team and ensure accuracy of setting-out works.\nPrepare meeting minutes and technical correspondence as delegated by the Resident Engineer.\nCoordinate with the Contractor’s supervisory staff regarding work sequence, methodology, and schedule compliance.\nMonitor construction progress and ensure adherence to the Contractor’s approved baseline program.\nConduct continuous field inspections of the work in progress and provide consultation to both the Resident Engineer and Contractor’s teams.\nPrepare written and verbal reports for the Resident Engineer on technical, contractual, and procedural matters.\nReview and verify as-built drawings in coordination with inspectors and surveyors.\nEnsure all site activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and HSE standards.\nIdentify non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution.\nSupport the Resident Engineer in reviewing technical submittals, progress reports, and project documentation.\nMaintain effective coordination between the supervision team and the Contractor to resolve site-related issues efficiently.\nLiaise and coordinate with relevant Dubai authorities such as RTA, DM, DEWA, Etisalat, DU, and Civil Defense for inspections, and NOCs.\nReview authority-related drawings and ensure compliance with each authority’s latest standards and specifications.\nFollow up on authority inspection requests and assist in resolving comments or non-compliance issues.\nEnsure timely submission and approval of all authority NOCs required for construction, testing, and final handover.\nCoordinate with utility service providers to facilitate connection works, diversions, and protection of existing services.\nAttend authority meetings and provide technical input to support the Resident Engineer during coordination and progress discussions.\nMaintain records of authority communications, approvals, and correspondence for project documentation and handover.\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.\n\nMinimum 10 years of extensive experience in Stormwater line for Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects, covering construction supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of treatment facilities and associated infrastructure.\n\nProven, hands-on involvement in end-to-end delivery, including civil, mechanical, and process-related components, with a strong understanding of treatment systems and operational requirements.\n\nUAE project experience is highly preferred, with in-depth knowledge of local authority regulations, approval processes, and standards related specifically to STP and infrastructure projects.\n\nStrong expertise in construction supervision practices, including review of shop drawings, material submittals, inspection/testing procedures, and as-built documentation within STP environments.\n\nSolid understanding of UAE codes, environmental regulations, and HSE requirements applicable to wastewater treatment facilities.\n\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure successful and timely delivery of STP projects.\n\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
