Join us.\n Here is what you will be doing:\nPrimary responsibilities will include the following:\nPreparation and management of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement etc.\n\nElectrical engineering and design during all project phases according to client, national and international standards.\n\nAssessing of Client / Project Electrical Engineering Requirements.\n\nPrepare concept design and the ability to objectively evaluate both technically and commercially, different options based upon project objectives / requirements.\n\nCost Estimation of electrical Engineering scope of work, including equipment and construction costs.\nDetailed Electrical Engineering of LV and MV (up to 132kV) including the development and checking of :\n\nLoad Lists\nSingle Line Diagrams\nNetwork Diagrams\nElectrical Schematic Diagrams\nHazardous Area Classification\nDiversification and Load factors.\nElectrical Network Design\nFault Level Calculations\nMotor start-up and Protection Schemes (MV and LV)\nProtection Schemes modelling of protection schemes and definition of Protection settings.\nCT Specification.\nPower Metering specification and interface to Energy / Building Management Systems.\nCable Routing Design\nCable Sizing Calculations\nLighting Calculations, modelling and layouts.\nEarthing Risk Assessments, earthing system design, Earthing layouts.\nSpecification of Electrical Equipment including, Switchgear, Distribution Boards, Motor Control Centres, Transformers, Motors, VSD’s, Soft starters, UPS’s, Power Factor Correction, Filters, Cables, Lighting, BMS and communication systems.\nFire detection Systems layouts and Specification.\nSpecification of Construction Standards of installation.\nInterface with PLC’s, DCS systems and Building Management Systems and design the interface Control Systems.\nInterface with Energy Efficiency and providing energy efficient electrical solutions.\nInterface and Familiar with Quality of Power Supply requirements and evaluation.\nDesign schemes to reduce Electromagnetic interference and specify EMC requirements.\nDesign and specify communications systems with Electrical equipment / systems including Serial Communications using Profibus / fieldbus, Ethernet etc.\nPerform and check system studies (e.g. short circuit; load flow and protection coordination).\nUtilise vendor data and work with other disciplines as required for engineering and design.\nParticipate and Perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.\nDevelop and check equipment purchase specification and develop RFQ’s (e.g. MV and LV switchboards; D/B.s, MCC’s, power transformers, Power factor Correction motors, VSDs, UPSs Filters, Cables, Lighting, BMS and communication systems).\nDevelop technical scope of work and tender documentation and bills of quantities for construction contracts.\nDevelop tender documentation, adjudicate tenders, provide re-measurement of works and approve contract claims.\nPrepare Project Scheduling and Planning, developing basic Bar-charts for Electrical Engineering input to project management team.\nManage progress & quality control activities for equipment manufacture.\nConduct vendor inspections and factory acceptance testing of equipment.\nManage switchgear and specialist equipment contractors.\nProvide field engineering support to construction and commissioning teams.\nProject handover and closeout documentation.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.\nAssist in the setting up of standard engineering documentation and methodology for the electrical engineering unit.\nDevelop Client relations and extend the client base.\nAssist in the preparation of tenders for Electrical unit workload.\n Here is what we are looking for:\n8+ Years' experience within the built environment after obtainment of Qualification\nBachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University\nMaster of Science or Engineering preferred\nProfessionally registered as an Engineer with ECSA\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
