Join us.\n Senior QA/QC Engineer - Infrastructure Projects\nJob Summary\nThe Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for leading and managing all Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring that all construction works comply with contract requirements, approved drawings, technical specifications, authority regulations, and applicable international standards.\nThe role oversees the implementation of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS), supervises QA/QC Engineers, Material Engineers, and Inspectors, and works closely with the Project Director, Resident Engineers, Contractors, Laboratories, and Authorities to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.\nKey Job Duties\n1. Quality Management System\nLead the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) and Project Quality Plan (PQP).\nEnsure all construction activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, authority requirements, and quality procedures.\nDevelop and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nConduct internal quality audits and monitor compliance across all project disciplines.\n2. Quality Assurance & Quality Control\nReview and approve Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and material submittals.\nMonitor contractor compliance with approved QA/QC procedures and contract requirements.\nSupervise inspections, testing activities, and quality verification processes.\nEnsure only approved materials and construction methods are utilized.\n3. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions\nLead the management of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).\nInvestigate quality issues and implement preventive and corrective measures.\nMonitor timely close-out of all quality-related observations and deficiencies.\nAnalyse quality trends and recommend process improvements.\n4. Material Quality & Laboratory Coordination\nCoordinate with the Material Engineer regarding material approvals, testing programmes, and laboratory activities.\nReview laboratory test reports, field testing results, and quality certifications.\nEnsure compliance of all construction materials with project specifications and authority requirements.\n5. Stakeholder & Authority Coordination\nLiaise with the Client, Contractors, Authorities, Independent Laboratories, and Project Teams on quality-related matters.\nParticipate in quality meetings, technical workshops, authority inspections, and project reviews.\nSupport authority approvals, testing & commissioning, and asset handover activities.\n6. Team Leadership & Reporting\nLead and mentor QA/QC Engineers, Material Engineers, and Quality Inspectors.\nPrepare quality dashboards, KPI reports, audit reports, and management summaries.\nMaintain project quality records, registers, and documentation.\nReport quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to the Project Director and Resident Engineer.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.\nISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent Quality Management qualification is highly preferred.\nExperience\nMinimum 15 years of QA/QC experience on major infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years as a Senior QA/QC Engineer or QA/QC Manager.\nProven experience in roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, electrical, telecom, public realm, and transportation infrastructure.\nExtensive experience in consultancy-based construction supervision.\nStrong knowledge of UAE authority quality requirements and approval procedures.\nExperience in testing & commissioning, project handover, and asset transfer is highly desirable.\nTechnical Skills\nComprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and FIDIC contracts.\nStrong experience in quality auditing, laboratory testing, material approvals, NCR management, and construction quality control.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Asite, and quality/document management systems.\nFamiliarity with BIM and digital quality management platforms is an advantage.\nBehavioural & Management Competencies\nStrong leadership and team management capabilities.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.\nProfessional, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement, compliance, and client satisfaction.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
