Join us.\n We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Stormwater to join our engineering team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive stormwater management systems for municipal and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and a commitment to delivering efficient, sustainable solutions that meet the region's infrastructure needs.\nDesign and develop stormwater management systems, including detention basins, retention ponds, and drainage networks, utilizing industry best practices and local regulations\nConduct detailed hydraulic and hydrological analyses to assess system performance and optimize design solutions\nPrepare comprehensive technical specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documents using CAD software and hydraulic modeling tools\nOversee project implementation from conception through completion, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to design standards\nPerform site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing stormwater infrastructure and identify improvement opportunities\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and contractors to integrate stormwater solutions into broader project objectives\nEnsure all designs comply with UAE regulations, local building codes, and environmental standards\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff\nManage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery\nPrepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments\nStay current with emerging technologies and industry innovations in stormwater management\n Minimum 8 years of professional experience in stormwater engineering, drainage design, or related civil engineering disciplines\nAdvanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent) and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-HMS, SWMM, or similar)\nStrong knowledge of stormwater design standards, best management practices, and regulatory requirements\nDemonstrated expertise in hydraulic and hydrological analysis and modeling\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail\nProficiency in project management methodologies and tools\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary team environments\nPreferred: Professional engineering licensure or certification (PE, CEng, or equivalent)\nPreferred: Experience with projects in the UAE or Middle Eastern region\nPreferred: Familiarity with GIS software and environmental impact assessment procedures\nPreferred: Experience with sustainable and green infrastructure solutions\nPreferred: Knowledge of climate-resilient stormwater design practices\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
