Join us.\n AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a Structural Engineer with demonstrated expertise in the structural design of buildings, with a strong emphasis on data center facilities, to join its Bogotá, Colombia office.\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nParticipate in the structural design of building in infrastructure projects, including data centers, through the development of mathematical models, required calculations, and the preparation of calculation reports and technical descriptions.\nPerform structural design for concrete and steel systems typically used in data centers, considering high load demands, vibration criteria, redundancy, and constructability requirements.\nEnsure that all assigned projects are executed in accordance with the company’s quality management system.\nPromote an integrated and multidisciplinary design approach, collaborating across different engineering disciplines.\nUnderstand and address client requirements and expectations effectively.\nStay up to date with industry standards, guidelines, and new technologies, and communicate relevant developments to your team.\nCollaborate constructively with colleagues, external partners (e.g., architects, geotechnical, piping, mechanical, and electrical engineers), and clients to ensure high-quality project delivery.\nPrepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related/ similar fields.\nMinimum of 4 years of proven technical experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the design of concrete and steel structures, in accordance with international standards and within multidisciplinary teams.\nSolid knowledge of structural analysis and design principles for reinforced concrete and steel structures.\nFamiliarity with ASCE, AISC, ACI (AS applicable)\nProficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Ram Connection, IdeaStatica or similar, and AutoCAD. BIM experience is a plus.\nAdvanced technical English both written and spoken\nPreferred Requirements\nExperience in structural analysis and design of building structures (including data center facilities) and foundation systems, including shallow and deep foundations, mat foundations, piles, pile caps, etc.\nAbility to work independently on defined tasks with limited supervision.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.\nEnglish Level: B2\n Additional information\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position.\nSponsorship for Colombia work authorization is not available for this position, now or in the future.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
