Join us.\n AECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Environmental Project Manager for immediate employment in our Cincinnati, Ohio Office. Imagine making a positive impact in your community while working on rewarding projects, such as environmental justice, remediation, or Brownfields projects.\nAs part of this hybrid (office and remote) role, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience managing diverse teams, show regulatory and client engagement on complex sites, investigation/remediation project experience, and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.\nWorking at AECOM means being part of a global team and collaborating with award-winning professionals around the globe. In this role, you will also be responsible for supporting business development for the Cincinnati office as well as managing AECOM staff and subcontractors, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and communication, and financial management.\nResponsibilities for this position may include the following:\n Project Management:\nResponsible for the overall management of projects and assists in establishing project-specific objectives and policies.\nUnderstand site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for our clients.\nInteracts with existing and potential clients to discuss AECOM service capabilities and expand services provided.\nOversees and ensures all facets of a project portfolio are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.\nProvide technical oversight and quality control.\nDetermine and define project scope and objectives.\nSupervise the management of all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).\nPredict resource needs and manage resources effectively.\nHas decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.\nProvide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.\nIdentify, mitigate, and manage project risks.\nManage more complex clients and projects.\nConsistently deliver profit margins as planned.\nPeople Leadership\nExperience leading teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of multi-sector environmental projects.\nSupervise the performance of senior level engineers, geologists, and scientists, as well as project managers with multiple projects.\nCollaborate with project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating, billing, accounting, finance, and procurement representatives.\nProvide mentorship to staff regarding means for expanding service opportunities for both existing and new clients. \nProvides management and guidance to local AECOM environment staff, promotes company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.\n Minimum Requirements\nBS in engineering, geology, environmental science or a related field and 6+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management and business development experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education\nUS Citizen or US Permanent Resident.\nThis successful candidate will have to pass a background check. \nA valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy\nPreferred Qualifications\n10+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development experience.\nLicensed in the State of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri, or Ohio (Professional Engineer or Geologist).\nExperience working with state regulatory agencies in the same states referenced for licensure.\nExperience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.\nExperience in business development.\n40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current) including 8-hr Supervisor training.\nPMP certification.\nExperience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.\nExperience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients.\nDetail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills.\nSuperior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.\nExperience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
