Join us.\n AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team of Hydrogeologists and Environmental Engineers to work on: Hydrogeological Assessments, Groundwater Remediation Strategy Implementation, Groundwater Remediation Design, and Groundwater Monitoring at large contaminated industrial sites, and Groundwater Engineering at new development sites.\nOur ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, team-oriented professional with a strong technical background and capabilities in Hydrogeology, Groundwater Engineering, Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation, and Groundwater Modelling.\nIn this role, you will work with our experienced team of Hydrogeologists, Hydrogeological Modelers, Environmental Engineers, and Project Managers in:\nApply technical knowledge of site investigation, remediation, and contaminated site regulations to resolve complex environmental problems.\nDesigning, planning, implementing, supervising, and interpreting hydrogeological investigations (well installations, groundwater level surveys and sampling, aquifer testing).\nDeveloping hydrogeological conceptual model and 3D Geological Models using various digital tools and geostatistical software packages.\nDeveloping numerical groundwater models using MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and other software packages.\nWorking closely with environmental scientists and risk assessors in remediation plan procedures.\nPreparing proposals/workplans and managing project budgets, schedules, health and safety, and project staffing.\nProviding Hydrogeological input to environmental assessments of proposed commercial and industrial developments.\nDeveloping junior staff through ongoing mentoring.\nTravelling as required to meet project needs.\nLiaising with clients and regulators.\n We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:\nA minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained within a multinational company.\nFluency in both Italian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience conducting fieldwork and site-based activities;\nMotivation, initiative, and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure.\nFlexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving project and programme requirements.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and through digital channels.\nStrong report-writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and high-quality technical documentation.\nExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.\nReasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to undertake site visits and project-related activities.\nA high degree of initiative, agility, and resourcefulness.\nLicensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).\nPreferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Geology\n What we offer:\nAECOM: A World of Opportunities and Benefits\nAttractive Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary along with a range of exclusive benefits, including hybrid work, meal vouchers, welfare program, resources for personal well-being and mental health, gym memberships, health insurance, laptop, smartphone, employee assistance program, business travel insurance, service recognition awards, and a pension savings plan.\nOffice in the Heart of Milan: Central location, with easy access to all the city's conveniences.\nWork Flexibility: We offer flexible work options to help you maintain an optimal work-life balance.\nPublic Transport Allowances: We help cover the costs of your daily commute.\nCulture of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Welcoming Workplaces: Our culture promotes a welcoming and respectful work environment.
