Join us.\n The Project Controls Team Coordinator is responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing a team of approximately 8 Project Controls professionals across Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Management disciplines.\nThe role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality project controls services across multiple project portfolios while promoting best practices, fostering collaboration, and supporting the professional growth of team members. The successful candidate will combine strong technical project controls expertise with excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Coordinate and support a team of approximately 8 direct reports across planning, scheduling, and cost management functions.\n· Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and technical support to team members.\n· Conduct performance discussions, development reviews, and resource planning activities.\n· Develop and deliver project controls training, coaching, and mentoring programs.\n· Oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, earned value management and reporting activities.\n· Support project managers and stakeholders with project performance insights.\n· Act as an escalation point for project controls issues.\n· Support project audits, governance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nTechnical Skills\n· Strong understanding of Project Controls principles and best practices.\n· Basic or strong understanding of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.\n· Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, budgeting, earned value management (EVM), and performance reporting.\n· Strong knowledge and practical experience in AECOM systems and tools including Workbench, ABC and Coupa.\n· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with enterprise project management systems.\nLeadership & Behavioral Competencies\n· Exceptional people management and team coordination skills.\n· Strong coaching, mentoring, and training capabilities.\n· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.\n· Ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels.\n· Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.\nSuccess Measures\n· Effective coordination and development of an 8-person Project Controls team.\n· Consistent delivery of high-quality planning, scheduling, and cost management services.\n· Improved capability and performance of team members through coaching and training.\n· Compliance with governance, quality, and reporting requirements.\n Qualifications\n· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.\n·\nRequired Experience\n· Minimum 5 years of applied Project Controls experience acquired within AECOM and/or external organizations.\n· Experience in Planning, Scheduling, Cost Management, or a combination of Project Controls disciplines.\n· Experience providing training and technical guidance to team members.\n At AECOM, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity\nFreedom to Grow hybrid working philosophy is the cornerstone of our success as a business - supporting a culture of flexibility, trust and performance at AECOM.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
