Join us.\n AECOM is currently seeking an experiencedSenior Project Engineer to support and oversee a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects within the Fort Lauderdale, Florida region. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership, and construction engineering inspection support to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and schedules.\nServes as senior technical resource and technical advisor for assigned projects and team members\nProvides specialized technical input to studies and design work within the specific area of expertise\nDevelops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others\nParticipates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and provides constructive technical feedback\nServe as an Engineer of Record for small to medium size transportation improvement projects \nDevelops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects with accuracy and attention to detail\nApplies expertise throughout all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E packages\nPerforms quality control review of design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation\nPrepares and reviews technical specification sections for completeness and compliance\nProvides input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements\nMentors junior engineers and technical staff to support professional development and knowledge transfer\nManages client and stakeholder communications regarding technical matters and project status\nEnsures compliance with FDOT design criteria, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout project delivery\nLeads small to mid-sized project teams and coordinates efforts across multiple disciplines\nPerforms independent technical reviews demonstrating knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines\nIdentifies opportunities for process improvement and innovation in design methodologies and project delivery\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in civil engineering plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nFamiliarity with FDOT plan production and design criteria\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrates strong judgment in proactively identifying and solving routine and non-routine operational challenges, establishing operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guidance across diverse engineering functions\nExperience with Bentley Open Roads and 3D Modeling\nAbility to design typical sections, alignments, plan and section drawings \nAbility to lead small teams to complete projects\nPerforms independent technical reviews with knowledge of multiple disciplines\n Relocation assistance is not available for this position\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
