Join us.\n AECOM is seeking an experienced, highly organized Interior Architecture Senior Project Manager for our New York City, NY office.\nAECOM’s Buildings + Places business line is dedicated to design excellence and integrated project delivery solutions with expertise including architecture, interiors, engineering, development, workplace strategy, economic planning, master planning, project management, and construction services. Our New York Metro B+P Interiors AECOM’s studio provides industry-leading design projects in commercial, financial institutions, corporate interiors and pharmaceutical office spaces.\nThe Senior Project Manager will be responsible for running multiple projects of various sizes from conceptualization, design, construction through close out. This role selects, leads and mentors the Interior Architecture and Interior Design project team, while working closely with all of the interdisciplinary teams. Additionally, there is a heavy client communication/relationship component involved in the role.\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nPlans, directs, and leads technical staff in successful execution of projects in design and construction\nActs as primary point of contact with client and manage the relationship with all stakeholders\nResponsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.\nManages portfolio of clients with multiple projects\nManages projects on a local, regional, or national basis achieving quality outcomes, positive financial performance, and client satisfaction.\nSuccessfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, leads project teams and executes projects\nCoordinate internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the flawless execution of projects\nEnsure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget\nAssist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility\nDevelop and monitor a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner\nManage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk\nMeasure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques\nReport and escalate to management as needed\nPerform risk management to minimize project risks\nCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation\nMeet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis\nIdentify new business opportunities and support marketing efforts\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design plus eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n10+ years of progressively responsible experience with Architecture and Interior Design multidisciplinary teams on project deliverables and business development is strongly preferred\nExperience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities\nExcellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated team-building ability and internal/ external networking skills\nDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities\nProven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements\nInternally driven, self-starter, team orientated\nExperience working on tenant improvement projects of various sizes and complexity\nProfessional Registration in Architecture or Interior Design\nProject Management Professional certification (PMP)\n THIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY DECEMBER 24, 2026.\nRelocation assistance is not available.\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
