Join us.\n As a Senior Project Manager within AECOM’s London-based Security & Resilience project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing secure built-environment and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their successful delivery while continuing to develop your specialised knowledge.\nYour role will involve overseeing significant phases of projects, guiding junior team members, and fostering client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will support business development activities and contribute to AECOM's team and organisational growth.\nYou will join our London Security & Resilience Project Management team, which forms a key part of our Central and Local Government market sector. You will be working in secure environments with a range of government departments at the heart of national security. You will have, or be prepared to achieve, security clearance up to Developed Vetting.\nWe are looking for someone who brings energy and insight, ideally with consultancy experience or a background working within a Government client organisation.\nDepending on the specific requirements of each project, the role may require you to be based on site for part of the week, and you will need to be prepared to travel to project locations across the UK and internationally.\nLead and Deliver: Drive project delivery on our multi-disciplinary commissions to meet time, budget and quality requirements, while fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors and team members.\nExamples of duties include:\nLead the delivery of project management team outputs\nEnsure the project team have the appropriate level of security clearance for the project\nImplement a security management plan and ensure compliance of the project team\nLead internal AECOM project team meetings and external client team meetings\nCo-ordinate, review and ensure sign-off deliverables \nLead the management of multi-disciplinary design teams\nLead the management of tender documents, appraisals and negotiations\nLead the formulation and management of construction contracts\nProvide financial oversight, resource management, strategic guidance, audit and review\nClient-Centric Excellence: Strengthen client relationships by delivering an exceptional service, aligning project outcomes with client objectives and contributing to the business’s growth.\nExamples of duties include:\nLead the development of strong relationships with clients\nBe the main interface with AECOM clients on specified projects\nProgress business development opportunities with existing and new clients\nSupport ‘winning’ clients, ensuring quality outputs and professional behaviours\nTeam Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior members of our team of 45 are in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture.\nExamples of duties include:\nProvide effective support, supervision and motivation of Project Managers and junior staff\nEnsure staff have current and relevant training\nProvide leadership within the project management business\nProvide leadership and mentoring to the Security & Resilience team\nActive involvement in recruitment and retention activities\nEnsure you complete all relevant training\nIndustry Engagement and Growth: Support bids and business development activities, engage with industry forums and networking events, and take ownership of your professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the organisation.\nExamples of duties include:\nProgress business development opportunities \nSupport ‘winning’ clients as part of business development\nEngage in recruitment activities (scope candidates, review candidates, interview and provide recommendations)\nFormulate fee proposals\nIf you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you.
