Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Senior Project Manager- Transit Rail to be based in New York, New York area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group.\nJob responsibilities include:\nPerform project management responsibilities on design of transit rail projects in the NY Metro area\nResponsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies\nResponsible for administering the design phase of the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement\nManage a multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgets\nCoordinate construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projects\nAbility to coordinate closely with clients, contractors and project partners\nProject types includes Design-Build, Development of Bridging Documents and Design-Bid-Build\nRespond to client issued RFQ and RFPs, provide guidance to marketing for Transit Rail pursuits \nProvide valuable leadership to mid-career staff and mentoring to develop their technical skills.\n Minimum Requirements:\nBA/BS + 10 years or more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nProfessional Engineer License\nPreferred Requirements :\n20+ Years of Experience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PA/NY/NJ and NJ Transit\n15+ Years of Experience in Design Project Management Role\nStrong understanding of FRA and FTA requirements for project implementation\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills \n Relocation assistance is not available for this position\nSponsorship is not available for this position\nTHIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY DECEMBER 14th, 2026\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
