Join us.\n The Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead key elements of the site-based post contract delivery of our cost management activities having daily interaction with the rest of the AECOM site supervision team. They will be expected to work well as part of a team and autonomously and know when to reach back to the office / line manager for additional support.\nJob Duties\nTo achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the firm.\nAbility to integrate with key members of the design team and Client team.\nAssist in evaluating claims.\nPreparation of financial updates and monthly cost reports.\nAssesses and value progress payments and change requests.\nReview and compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data.\nPreparation of earned value reports.\nPrepare, review, and update cash-flows.\nEstimate variation orders for Contractors/Subcontractors.\nEvaluate and negotiates variations and change orders in liaison with the Contract Administrator, Design and Construction Teams.\nEvaluate and negotiate final accounts settlements.\nSpecific Skills Required\nHigh level of literacy skills in English. Arabic speaking considered a benefit.\nExcellent working knowledge of industry best practices\nTo lead our commercial team on a major Infrastructure project\nKnowledge of cost and contract management techniques, budget management and change control\nAbility to present confidently\nAbility to act with discretion and safeguarding confidentiality of project data.\nComputer Literate, with specific experience in Cost Management software programs\nPerson Specification (Personality Attributes)\nA dynamic, forward thinking person with the skills to self manage and manage others\nPresentable and personable, this individual will be a team player and comfortable with working in a large team and dynamic environment.\nBuild successful working relationships with internal departments\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and establish priorities for the timely completion of work.\nHigh level of professionalism, initiative and creativity.\nProblem solving/lateral thinking skills.\nMust have a QS or Engineering degree or similar equivalent\nMRICS Required\nA minimum of 10 years’ experience with large scale projects.\nExperience in infrastructure projects is essential.\nCommunication and formal English language skills are considered essential.\n48hrs 6 day working week\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
