Join us.\n We are looking for a Senior Resident Engineer - Infrastructure/Bridges to lead and oversee site supervision activities for major infrastructure and bridge construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the supervision team, monitoring construction progress and quality, coordinating with the Contractor and relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and project objectives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and manage site supervision activities for bridge and infrastructure construction works.\nSupervise bridge works, including foundations, piling, abutments, piers, retaining walls, decks, bearings, expansion joints, barriers, and associated structures.\nOversee infrastructure works, including roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, electrical, telecom, and other utility networks.\nManage and coordinate the site supervision team, including Assistant Resident Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors, and other technical staff.\nReview Contractor submissions, including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection plans, and construction programmes.\nMonitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.\nCoordinate with the Contractor, Client, utility authorities, designers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.\nMonitor the Contractor’s programme, manpower, equipment, and resources and identify delays or potential risks.\nReview Inspection Requests (IRs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and other technical documentation.\nEnsure proper inspection, testing, and commissioning of bridge and infrastructure works.\nMonitor interfaces between bridges, roads, utilities, drainage systems, and other infrastructure components.\nParticipate in progress meetings and provide regular updates on project performance, technical issues, and outstanding works.\nSupport the Project Manager in assessing variations, claims, Extension of Time submissions, and other contractual matters.\nEnsure compliance with project quality, health and safety, and environmental requirements.\nMaintain accurate site records, progress reports, and project documentation.\nOversee handover and closeout activities, including as-built drawings, testing records, O&M manuals, and outstanding works.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.\nRelevant experience in site supervision and delivery of major infrastructure and bridge projects.\nStrong technical knowledge of bridge structures, foundations, piling, concrete works, roads, earthworks, drainage, and wet and dry utilities.\nProven experience managing site supervision teams and coordinating with Contractors and stakeholders.\nGood understanding of construction contracts, technical specifications, quality procedures, and project controls.\nExperience in progress monitoring, technical reviews, inspections, testing, and commissioning.\nStrong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.\nUAE experience on major infrastructure and bridge projects is preferred.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
