Join us.\n AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer for a large metro project. The Senior Resident Engineer will be responsible for the activities and efficiency of his staff for the satisfactory prosecution of the work under his supervision. He has the responsibility to build and maintain an organization that can effectively provide the necessary staking, testing and inspection to ensure the project is constructed according to the plans and specifications. He/she will familiarize rapidly with the plans, specifications and amendments to effectively administer the work. AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer for a large roads project. The Resident Engineer will be responsible for the activities and efficiency of his staff for the satisfactory prosecution of the work under his supervision. He has the responsibility to build and maintain an organization that can effectively provide the necessary staking, testing and inspection to ensure the project is constructed according to the plans and specifications. He/she will familiarize rapidly with the plans, specifications and amendments to effectively administer the work.\nLead and manage the overall delivery of assigned infrastructure packages, ensuring project objectives related to time, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability are achieved\nReview and approve contractor method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and material submittals.\nCoordinate enabling works with the main metro construction activities and other project disciplines.\nSupervise site clearance, demolition, excavation, grading, and temporary works.\nMonitor utility detection, protection, diversion, relocation, and temporary connections.\nCoordinate with utility authorities and relevant stakeholders for existing and proposed services.\nEnsure existing water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, electrical, telecom, and other utilities are properly protected.\nSupervise construction of temporary access roads, haul roads, working platforms, ramps, and site facilities.\nMonitor temporary drainage, dewatering, pumping, and groundwater control works.\nReview and monitor traffic management and temporary road diversion arrangements.\nEnsure pedestrian and vehicular access is maintained safely around the work areas.\nCoordinate with the traffic management team and relevant authorities for road closures and diversions.\nInspect temporary works and ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved designs.\nMonitor excavation support, shoring, barricading, fencing, and temporary protection systems.\nEnsure survey control points and setting-out works are established and maintained.\nMonitor environmental requirements, including dust control, noise, waste management, and protection of surrounding areas.\nCoordinate with HSE personnel to ensure safe execution of enabling works.\nConduct regular site inspections and issue Site Observation Reports, NCRs, and corrective action requirements where necessary.\nWitness and verify required testing and inspections for enabling works.\nMonitor contractor progress against the approved programme and identify delays or constraints.\nCoordinate interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, utilities, stations, depots, and rail systems.\nAttend progress, coordination, technical, and stakeholder meetings.\nReview contractor quantities, measurements, and payment applications related to enabling works.\nAssess and provide technical input on variations, additional works, and claims.\nMaintain proper records of inspections, approvals, site instructions, photographs, and daily progress.\nReview and verify as-built drawings and survey records for completed enabling works.\nCoordinate removal of temporary works when they are no longer required.\nEnsure completed enabling works are properly handed over to the subsequent metro construction packages.\nSupport testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities related to enabling works.\n Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field\nPrevious experience with RTA projects is preferred \nMinimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects including Roads, Bridges, Underpasses, Metro and Rail. \nStrong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes\nExcellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management\nAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilities\nStrong technical report writing and communication skills\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously\nWillingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
