Grow here.\nAt AECOM, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Dublin office.\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nAECOM is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our Dublin office. This role will focus on the delivery of complex and high-profile projects across the residential, healthcare, education, and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to technical excellence, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the development of our structural engineering practice in Ireland.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and contribute to the structural design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects from concept through to completion.\nProvide technical input and ensure compliance with relevant Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and industry standards.\nCoordinate structural design activities, resources, and programme requirements to support successful project delivery.\nLiaise with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and other project partners as part of project delivery.\nPrepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.\nContribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions across a range of project types.\nSupport and mentor junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and encouraging professional development.\nContribute to business development activities, including input to bids, proposals, and client presentations.\nCollaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop coordinated and integrated design solutions.\nTake responsibility for delivering high-quality technical work and identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes and efficiency.\nSector Focus:\nResidential: High-density housing, mixed-use developments, and urban regeneration projects.\nHealthcare: Hospitals, primary care centres, and specialist medical facilities requiring complex structural solutions.\nEducation: Schools, universities, and research facilities with a focus on flexible and sustainable design.\nInfrastructure: Transport, utilities, and public realm projects supporting Ireland’s growing infrastructure needs.\n Here’s what we’re looking for:\nThe successful candidate will have relevant experience in structural engineering within the Irish market, together with the following qualifications and experience:\nEducation:\nHonours Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Structural or Civil Engineering.\nA Master’s degree (Level 9) in Structural or Civil Engineering would be advantageous.\nChartership:\nChartered Engineer (CEng) status is desirable.\nMembership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) and/or the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) is advantageous.\nCandidates working towards professional chartership with relevant experience will also be considered.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
