Join us.\n AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented Senior Water Conveyance Project Manager. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the United States including but not limited to Boston, MA; Buffalo, New York; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Germantown, Maryland; Rocky Hill, CT; or Chelmsford, MA. It is expected that this role will provide support to projects throughout the United States.\nThe ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic civil or structural engineer with experience: new pipeline design and installation, existing installations, failure and forensics analysis, condition assessment, and rehabilitation.\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful local and national group that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities. Join our growing pipeline design practice and help us continue to deliver innovative and successful projects!\nResponsibilities may include but not limited to:\nTechnical lead for pipeline rehabilitation and design.\nInterface with client and regulatory agencies.\nCollaborate with other pipeline design experts to develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.\nConduct field inspections and pipeline condition assessments to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations. Assess pipeline for remaining useful life and recommend renewal treatments.\nWork on projects related to pipeline failure analysis and pipeline forensics analysis.\nWork on projects from planning through design and construction services, for new and rehabilitation pipe designs, for water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.\nWork on projects related to pressure pipe design and pipe stress analysis.\nUnderstanding of construction methods, such as open-cut and trenchless (micro tunneling, jack and bore, etc.) for sewer and water infrastructure.\nProvide technical guidance to AECOM project teams and mentoring junior level staff. Quality reviews of work by other AECOM project teams.\nTechnical writing, reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigations, memorandums, engineering reports and documentations.\nPrepare engineering services proposals, fee estimates, and schedules.\nStay current on industry trends and advancements and regulations in pipeline design and engineering. Disseminate current industry trends and advancements to junior staff.\nParticipation in relevant industry organizations committees for standards and/or best practices development.\nParticipation in AECOM’s Technical Practice Network groups, with opportunities for leadership.\n MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nBS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nLicensed PE\n8 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipeline design, analysis, installation, and inspection.\n8 years of experience in Mathcad / MATLAB and FEA.\n8 years of experience working with pipeline design codes, standards, and regulations.\nValid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nStrong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.\nExperience conducting Finite element analysis on buried structures and pipelines.\n12 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipeline design, analysis, installation, and inspection.\nMaster’s Degree\nDemonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.\nTask Lead and Technical Lead on projects.\nStrong communication skills in coordinating with internal team, clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies.\n Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nRelocation is not available for this position.\nThis position will require travel through the United States.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
