As a Senior/Principal Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver water sector projects from feasibility through to design, construction support and commissioning. We have over 150 people in the Water Team in Scotland, with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Inverness.\nWe are delivering a diverse and high-impact portfolio of projects that are shaping sustainable and resilient water systems for generations to come.\nWe are a Primary Designer on Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise. This is a transformational multi-billion-pound programme and will reshape Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033 (with potential to extend for another 6 years). Alongside SR27 we are delivering a number of frameworks both direct, and via design and build contractors, to Scottish Water.\nAdditionally, we have a strong flood and surface water management team providing complex integrated river and coastal modelling, flood prevention and restoration schemes through a number of frameworks, including Excel Scotland.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver projects in line with client and AECOM requirements\nDefine project scope, schedule, resources and risks\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams\nMentor and develop Project Managers and other team members, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing\nManage project commercial performance, including forecasting, costs and cash flow\nOversee effective contract administration and quality delivery\nManage subcontractors and suppliers where required\nContribute to business development through proposals, client engagement and future opportunities\nChampion a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture\nAbout You\nExtensive experience managing projects within consultancy, engineering or infrastructure environments\nExperience in leading bids, proposals or business development activities\nIn-depth knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly PSC\nProven ability to lead multidisciplinary and multi-organisation teams\nAble to balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively\nProficient in project management and digital collaboration tools\nWater sector experience desirable\n Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?\nHere’s what we’re looking for:\nDegree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or a related discipline\nA strong track record of delivering projects successfully\nKnowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts advantageous\nAPM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification (desirable)\nChartered or working towards professional membership (APM, PMI, CIOB, ICE, RICS) desirable\nSecurity clearance checks may be required\n We celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
