Join us.\n This role is responsible for day-to-day processing of assigned payroll activities for the ANZ region. The role will also further support other members of the team by providing process guidance and leverage on expertise to solve complex process issues in compliance with relevant local regulations, policies, procedures, and methodologies support with the necessary audit requirements.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nPerform simple to complex payroll activities in compliance with established procedures, strategies, and methodologies.\nEnsure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation.\nPerform taxation, legislative and statutory obligations, effective processing and preparation of returns, documents management, and maintenance of key processes.\nSupport in ensuring up-to-date processes and compliance with legislative, award, and other region-specific changes for accurate payroll processing.\nContribute as subject matter expert by applying technical expertise in the overall payroll process.\nSupport junior members of the team regarding query resolutions for unique cases and process exceptions.\nSupport in the preparation of multiple reports and provide complex analysis, insights, and recommendations.\nAssist on assigned issues and collate documentation in support of investigating and resolving complex issues in support of Team Lead/Manager.\nSupport in the development and process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.\nMaintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.\nPropose alternatives in identified issues and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues.\nContribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.\nParticipate in data gathering for SOX audit-related activities.\nLiaise with onshore Payroll Support Teams as appropriate\nMonitor and respond to Employee Centre support requests as it pertains to Payroll Services\nBachelor’s degree and/or4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting\nMust have experience in processing (input region) region payroll, exposure to end-to-end payroll processing is preferred\nIntermediate proficiency in MS Office tools\nIn depth knowledge and understanding of HR processes and procedures\nMust have experience in a high-volume/high-headcount payroll processing\nExperience in using payroll systems preferrable - ADP Globalview or other Payroll Systems\nExperience in Oracle system is a plus\nExcellent English communication skills (written and verbal)\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
