This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including DB projects and proposals. This is a world-class effort delivered by world-class people, come join the team with the power to uplift communities and improve people’s lives.\nThe job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\nSenior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.\nProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.\nDevelops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by other.\nParticipates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.\nDevelops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.\nUses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.\nPerforms quality control review of design calculations or drawings.\nPrepares technical specification sections.\nProvides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBA/BS + 8 (eight) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nPE License is required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.\n10 + years of bridge design and plan development experience\nProject experience in TN, AL, NC, SC region related to the states and/or local bridge design project work.\nProficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, PTC MathCAD, CSiBridge and/or MIDAS Civil.\nExperience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.\nExcellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.\nStructural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)\nKnowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes\nAbility to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nRelocation is not available for this position.\nMust be able to work in evenings or on weekends as needed, to perform outreach activities or staff public meetings. \nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
