Join us.\n Reporting to the Civil (Structures) Department Manager, the incumbent will participate in the delivery of major projects in the hydropower and energy infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed engineering, as well as rehabilitation and modernization projects for existing facilities, including pumped storage plants, conventional hydroelectric generating stations, and dams.\nAs part of their responsibilities, the successful candidate will:\nKey Responsibilities\nEstablish and maintain relationships with clients to identify project requirements and present technical information, concepts, and study results;\nAssist the Project Manager in monitoring, coordinating, and tracking the progress and delivery of design team outputs;\nPrepare budget estimates;\nPerform and/or supervise structural design calculations, including stability analyses, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, guidelines, and regulations;\nReview engineering concepts and verify design calculations prepared by others;\nReview and prepare tender documents, construction packages, and other technical documentation;\nSupervise engineers, technicians, and drafters assigned to projects;\nPerform other related duties required to support successful project execution.\n Minimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering);\nRegistered and in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulatory body (P.Eng. or equivalent);\nMinimum 6 years of experience in structural design and analysis;\nStrong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design;\nProficiency with structural analysis software;\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
