Join us.\n AECOM has a position available for a Substation Engineer with a specialization in physical substation design. The focus of your experience must be in the power delivery industry and be associated with electrical engineering with respect to the design of utility scale substation design.\nResponsibilities include, but not limited to:\nPerforms specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer\nGathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.\nWorks on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.\nProposes approach to solve new problems encountered.\nIdentifies discrepancies in results.\nPerforms work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.\nAbout AECOM\nAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nMinimum of 4 years experience with high voltage substation design.\nEIT Certification.\nProficient in use of AutoCAD and/or Bentley Microstation.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProfessional engineering license or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire.\nKnowledge of construction practices and constructability\nExperience with proposal writing and project estimating.\nWorking knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes.\nGood knowledge of the industry and technology trends specific to substations.\nFamiliar with applicable codes and standards (IEEE, ANSI, NESC, NEC).\nWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must.\nAttention to detail and check the quality of own and others’ work\nAbility to use sound engineering judgment.\nAbility to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.\n Additional Information\nRelocation assistance is not available for this role\nSponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available for this position.\nOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
