At AECOM, we’re delivering some of the most impactful transport and infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand, supported by a global network that spans 150+ countries. Our South East Queensland (SEQ) team brings together deep local knowledge with world-class capability, offering the opportunity to work on meaningful city-shaping projects while staying connected to a broader community of technical experts.

Our SEQ Transport Planning team is in a strong position, with a growing pipeline of work across major transport programs. We’re looking for a Transport Engineer / Modeller to join the team and play a key role in supporting this continued momentum.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a transport modeller
  • Experience in delivering operational modelling e.g. microsimulation and mesoscopic modelling for technically challenging projects
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in engineering, transport, mathematics, economics, geography, computer science, statistics, physics or equivalent discipline
  • Experience in one or more operational modelling platforms e.g. VISSIM,VisVAP, Aimsun, SIDRA
  • Experience in using and developing scripts and macros in these packages
  • Programming experience in Python, SQL, Visual Basic
  • Experience in the use of GIS techniques in the application to transport modelling outputs and analysis.
