Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineering Manager to be based in Orange or Los Angeles, CA and will be a hybrid role.\nWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Traffic Engineering Manager in traffic engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, managing, and implementing traffic engineering solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and manage traffic engineering projects from conception to completion.\nDevelop and review traffic impact studies, traffic signal designs, and roadway safety audits.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, designers, and construction managers.\nEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.\nPrepare and present project proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders.\nConduct field investigations and data collection to support project development.\nUtilize traffic simulation software and other engineering tools to analyze and solve complex traffic issues.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nBA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nCalifornia Professional Engineer (PE) license.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree.\n8+ years of experience.\nProven track record of working with LADOT and Caltrans.\nExperience in Traffic Signal Design, Traffic Control, Signing and Striping, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).\nProficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).\nStrong knowledge of traffic control devices, roadway design, and traffic safety principles.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nExperience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.\nAbility to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.\nExperience in construction phase services.\nProven and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.\nProven track record of successful project delivery.\n Sponsorship is not available for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
