Join us.\n AECOM is currently seeking a Utility Coordinator located in Tampa, FL, to support coordination efforts among multiple clients (FDOT, county, and private), contractors, and third-party utility companies.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nServes as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.\nDevelops, builds, and maintains a positive and productive relationship with third-party utilities. Works with the client to establish priorities, monitor progress and ensure compliance with the client’s goals and requirements\nApplies advanced knowledge to develop design procedures software and tools to facilitate high quality cost-effective technical project activities\ndevelop and maintain project tracking systems for issues and resolutions, and address utility or roadway needs in a timely manner.\nParticipate in utility and roadway meetings to promote issue resolution, prepare status reports\nDevelops estimates of technical efforts for projects\nManages communication and collaboration with full design team and client\nConducts interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develops estimates of technical efforts for projects\nOversees the development and implementation of technical approach and the completion of complex work which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity\nInitiates and creates project designs and plans with responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings\nPrepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings\nExercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment \nMay oversee the work of less experienced designers\nMeets with clients and oversees all aspects of the project to ensure client needs are met\nProviding utility coordination services for multiple projects with tight design and or construction schedules throughout the state\nActs as liaison between engineers, contractors, governmental agencies, UAOs, and the public to resolve utility conflicts\nOversee and provide guidance to utility coordinators and design consultants for utility, roadway, and railroad coordination efforts.\nCoordinate with FDOT roadway design, right-of-way, survey, construction, and maintenance departments.\nCoordinating with FDOT in preparing Utility Work by Highway Contractor packages (UWHCA) \nConduct utility coordination meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and maintaining files of all activities for each utility agency\nSchedule and attend office, field, and Teams meetings with utility agency owners\nPerform follow -up of meeting action items to assure effective coordination results\nLead and assist with preparation of contingency plans for unplanned utility events\nReview FDOT utility permit applications and plans\nNegotiate design consultant scope and staff hours\n Minimum Requirements:\nBA/BS degree plus 4 years of related experience, or AS Degree plus 6 years of related experience, or HS/GED plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education\nValid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review\nUtility and roadway construction for the installation or relocation of underground and overhead utilities experience\nDue to the nature of the projects associated with this position a valid US citizenship is required \nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of utility and roadway construction for the installation or relocation of underground and overhead utilities\nKnowledge and experience reviewing and understanding Utility Agency/Owner (UAO) design documents, utility specifications, and utility work schedules\nExperience and proficiency in reading FDOT Roadway Plans, FDOT Utility Adjustment Plans, and UAO Construction Plans for water, sewer, gas, communications, and power\nKnowledge of FDOT right-of-way and easement requirements related to railroads and utilities.\nExperience and knowledge of the FDOT plans production process and utility coordination process.\nDesign-Build experience\nExperience with Microsoft Office program applications\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation ORD/SS10, Bluebeam, FDOT PSEE, Adobe Acrobat\n Additional information:\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
