Join us.\n AECOM's Transportation, Greater Pennsylvania Area Water Resources group is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water Resources Engineer III for immediate employment in the Conshohocken, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg, or Newark (DE) office.\nThis role is intended for a talented engineer who is looking to expand their technical capabilities while developing leadership skills in the delivery of projects. This is a hybrid position, combining office and remote work.\nThe successful candidate will bring strong technical fundamentals, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership of defined tasks and progressively grow into leading small scopes and teams.\nThe job responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:\nAssist in design activities including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, roadway drainage, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, utility coordination, site design and environmental permitting\nAssist with the development of preliminary to final design calculations and drawings\nReview field information and perform field inspection of existing stormwater facilities\nPerform technical writing for design reports and permitting applications\nUtilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications\nPerform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer\nGather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures\nWork on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests\nPropose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments\nIdentify discrepancies in results\nProvide guidance to entry level engineers\nPerform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision\nIndependently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary designelements for engineering works\n\nPerformance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position\n MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nBA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nRegistered Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMasters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field\nProfession Engineer (P.E.) license\nProven experience using industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS)\nDemonstrated experience with drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design\nKnowledge of water resources design software (StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpak, HEC-RAS)\n Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nRelocation is not available for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
