Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Wetland Soil Scientist to join our industry leading Northeastern US Environmental Planning & Permitting Practice. This individual must be a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) by the SSA or be a Certified Professional Soil Classifier (CPSC) with specific wetland delineation experience in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, or Rhode Island. This is a great opportunity to work with a large group of professionals supporting projects in the energy transmission and generation sectors (including electric transmission, renewables and storage), state and federal projects and industrial sectors.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nBA/BS in Soil Science, Wetland Science, Environmental Science or related field and 4+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nThis role requires the selected individual to lead wetland field delineations in Connecticut and adjacent states and prepare wetland technical reports and environmental permit applications.\nCertified Professional Soil Classifier (CPSC)\nDue to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required\nValid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review\nPreferred Qualifications:\nA working knowledge of CT and New England Wetland Regulations preferred.\nExperience supporting projects in the energy transmission and generation sectors (including electric transmission, renewables and storage), state and federal projects and industrial sectors.\n6+ years of experience\n Relocation is not available for this position\nSponsorship is not available for this position\nThe selected individual can work remotely and expect that 50% of the role is fieldwork.\nTHIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY January 12, 2026\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
