With more than a century of experience and a full suite of integrated services, Aecon is a trusted partner for delivering complex civil projects, including tunnels, transit expansions, airports, ports, highways, and large-scale site development.\nThe Yonge North Subway Extension team is growing and looking for key individuals to support the delivery of this massive, fast-paced project.\nThe Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Field Operations, and Engineering teams, playing a critical role in scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, and client coordination. This role offers clear career advancement toward a Project Manager position.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nAssist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution of assigned projects.\nSupport estimating, bid preparation, and proposal development.\nPrepare and maintain project schedules, cost reports, and progress updates.\nCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries to support field operations.\nManage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and client reporting.\nMonitor financial performance, forecast costs, and ensure adherence to budgets.\nCollaborate with field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards.\nParticipate in safety meetings, client briefings, and internal reviews.\nProvide support during storm restoration and emergency response activities.\nContribute to process improvements to streamline project execution.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.\n5 - 10 years of experience in construction project management. Transit experience preferred.\nAbility to support the Site team and Project Manager in overall planning and tracking of the work on site.\nPast exposure to heavy civil scope of work, supporting Project Managers and Leaders on design, cost, and schedule management.\nStrong understanding of project management fundamentals, scheduling, and budgeting.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera, or Procore is a plus.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.\nSelf-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to learn.\nWillingness to travel occasionally to project sites.\nReason for Vacancy: New\nThe expected pay range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 per year.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
