If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nReporting to the DNNP EHS Director, the EHS Audit Advisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) audits across business operations to evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and industry best practices. The role provides subject matter expertise, identifies risks and opportunities for improvement, supports corrective action implementation, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement in EHS performance.\nWhat You’ll Do Here:\nEHS Audit Program Management\nPlan, schedule, and conduct EHS compliance, management system, and operational audits across multiple sites and business units.\nDevelop and maintain audit protocols, checklists, and methodologies aligned with regulatory and corporate requirements.\nLead audit activities, including pre-audit planning, field assessments, document reviews, interviews, and closing meetings.\nEvaluate EHS management systems against applicable standards, policies, and legal requirements.\nMonitor audit program effectiveness and recommend improvements to audit processes and tools.\nCompliance & Risk Management\nAssess compliance with environmental, occupational health and safety, and regulatory requirements.\nIdentify EHS risks, non-conformances, and areas requiring corrective or preventive action.\nAnalyze findings and determine root causes of recurring issues or systemic gaps.\nSupport risk mitigation strategies and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.\nMonitor emerging regulatory trends and communicate impacts to stakeholders.\nCorrective Action & Continuous Improvement\nPrepare comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and risk ratings.\nTrack corrective action plans to ensure timely completion and effectiveness.\nCollaborate with operational leaders to develop sustainable solutions to identified EHS issues.\nVerify closure and effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up assessments.\nIdentify trends across audits and provide recommendations to improve organizational EHS performance.\nStakeholder Engagement & Advisory Support\nAct as a trusted advisor to business leaders on EHS compliance and audit-related matters.\nProvide guidance and coaching to site leadership teams on regulatory and corporate requirements.\nSupport EHS program development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nFacilitate communication of audit results and best practices across the organization.\nPromote a positive safety culture through education, engagement, and collaboration.\nReporting & Data Analysis\nMaintain accurate audit documentation and records.\nDevelop and present audit metrics, dashboards, and trend analyses.\nPrepare reports for senior leadership outlining compliance status, risks, and improvement opportunities.\nSupport management reviews and regulatory inspections as required.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.\nProfessional certifications such as CRSP, CRST, CHSC, CSP, CIH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are considered an asset.\n5-10 years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health and Safety, compliance, auditing, or risk management.\nExperience conducting EHS compliance audits and management system assessments.\nKnowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation and regulatory frameworks.\nExperience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems preferred.\nExperience working across multiple sites or operational environments is an asset.\nStrong knowledge of EHS regulations, management systems, and auditing principles.\nExcellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to identify risks and recommend practical, business-focused solutions.\nStrong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.\nAbility to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and audit management systems.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nWorking Conditions\nFrequent travel to operational sites as required.\nAbility to work in office, industrial, field, and construction environments.\nOccasional requirement to conduct site inspections in varying weather and operational conditions.\nSuccess Measures\nCompletion of annual audit plans.\nReduction in repeat audit findings.\nTimely closure of corrective actions.\nImprovement in EHS compliance and performance metrics.\nPositive audit quality and stakeholder feedback.\nIdentification and mitigation of significant EHS risks.\nReason for vacancy: Replacement\nPay Range: $85,000 - $110,000\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
