If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nAs part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.\nThe Jr. Project Coordinator Co-op is a highly motivated self-starter who will assist in various areas of our project, depending on business requirements.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nAssist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering.\nIdentify, report, and secure approval for deviations from the design documents as they occur and before release to construction.\nProvide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures.\nProvide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.\nProvides status and progress reports to project team, and management.\nEstablish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.\nDevelop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.\nMaintain high standards related to final product quality.\nControls expenditures within limitations of project budget.\nCoordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc.\nReviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, contract requirements and related specifications.\nCoordinates activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.\nInterfaces with team members to provide project status reports and ensures project needs are met.\nAssists and monitors safety programs and statistics as required.\nActive involvement in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing policies and procedures.\nUtilize 3D modeling to support construction work.\nOther duties assigned.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nPursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) is preferred.\nMinimum GPA of 3.0\nProficient written (report writing) communication skills.\nKnowledge of SharePoint applications an asset.\nExcellent communication skills (both oral and written).\nStrong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.\nKnowledge of Aconex, Bluebeam, Excel is an asset.\nAble to read blueprints is an asset.\nValid G license and access to a reliable vehicle.\nAbility to work in-person at site office/trailer.\nReason for Vacancy: Replacement\nThe expected pay range for this role is $23 - $28 per hour.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
