If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nFrom fabrication and modularization to new builds, turnaround and maintenance, Aecon Industrial leads the way in industrial construction and water infrastructure, providing clients in Canada and the U.S. with vertically integrated solutions and exceptional self-perform work.\nReporting to the Manager of Labour Relations, the Craft Recruiter is responsible for providing recruitment support for trades positions and will assist with building and fostering a positive labour relations environment between our Project Teams and trade union partners.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nCollaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and provide guidance on the screening process.\nPost job requisitions internally and externally, and source candidates through the appropriate media - professional organizations, career fairs/educational institutions, cold calling, and other websites/social media forums.\nScreen resumes and interview candidates to determine qualifications.\nAssist with the creation of onboarding documentation (offer letters, agreements, etc.).\nDevelop collaborative relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, site admins and stakeholders to foster effective relationships.\nSupport creation and maintenance of Job Descriptions as required.\nMaintain up to date knowledge of construction industry trends and best practices for recruitment.\nOther duties and responsibilities as required.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nDegree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.\nBilingual candidate is preferred.\nEstablished network within the nuclear sector, with the ability to identify, engage, and influence key industry stakeholders and top-tier talent.\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience in full cycle recruitment in a high-volume environment required. Preference would be given to those with construction, heavy civil, oil and gas, mining or similar experience.\nKnowledge of the construction industry and trade unions is required.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build superior working relationships.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nKnowledge of provincial employment laws, best practices and legal framework.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills is essential.\nDemonstrate exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple staffing initiatives, competing deadlines, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with HRIS systems.\nAdvanced computer skills MS Office including Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and grievance or document management systems.\nValid Driver’s License required for frequent travel to meetings and conferences.\nAbility to travel to project sites is an asset.\nAecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
