AUE partners with clients and construction teams to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes that support reliable, future-ready infrastructure.\nReporting to the Team Lead, Design, the Designer, Project will support the design and delivery of overhead and underground electrical distribution projects by preparing technical drawings, calculations, construction packages and reports, while coordinating with clients, contractors, field staff and other project stakeholders.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nComplete design drawings and calculations that satisfy all the applicable code and regulation requirements (ESA, CEC, CSA, Etc.).\nAssist in the preparation of design schedules, material / labor estimates, permit applications and construction packages.\nConduct pre-design inspections, worksite visits and construction support.\nAssist with the preparation of reports regarding the status and results of completed and in-progress design projects.\nPrepare technical reports as required by the client and project team.\nUtilize various utility design software and tools.\nLiaises with clients, contractors, field staff and other stakeholders.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).\n3 - 5 years’ experience designing and drafting OH & UG electrical distribution systems.\nRegistration as an E.I.T. with the P.E.O is considered an asset.\nCET certified or CET eligible is preferred.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nProven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.\nStrong computer skills required - experience with AutoCAD software, Bentley MicroStation / ProjectWise, SAP, SpidaCalc, AGi32 streetlighting software and 3-D software experience is considered an asset.\nAbility to travel for projects (Valid G driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required).\nProven ability to take initiative and leadership.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nHybrid split week work from home / office model.\nReason for Vacancy: Replacement.\nThe expected pay range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000 per year.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
