Shoreline Power Group will be completing the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project. The joint venture has been awarded a contract by Bruce Power to execute the Unit 6 and Unit 3 FCFR at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario.\nThis project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064, the project is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program to replace the main components of the reactor. Unit 6 is the first of six reactors being replaced by Bruce Power through the MCR program.\nThe scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders for Unit 6 and Unit 3, as well as construction management and trade labor.\nReporting to the Welding Manager or Tooling Manager/Lead, the Equipment Electrical/Mechanical Technician is responsible for supporting any tooling designs, preventative maintenance, and repair activities associated with MCR Feeder and Fuel Channel Replacement.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nResponsible for all electrical and mechanical maintenance on the MCR project tooling\nDevelop tooling repair/maintenance procedures as applicable for each of the different project equipment sets, using knowledge of manufactures specifications and design intent\nProvide expertise and work closely with supervisors, tooling engineers, welders, mechanics, multiple trades, utilizing different tooling systems designs\nPrepare and coordinate all required activities to ensure that site conditions are suitable for the planned refurbishment activities, prior to mobilization to the site\nMaintain a regular job-site presence to continuously monitor and provide support for all required tooling maintenance and repair activities\nManage the procurement and storge of all required spare tooling, components, and consumables; ensuring that all components are available for optimal tooling performance\nEnsure that the project tooling and equipment is correctly configured for the respective operation\nPerform and record all required preventative maintenance activities on the respective tooling\nParticipate and/or lead any tooling related troubleshooting activities required during tooling development and/or operations at site\nReport all tooling issues and Human Performance issues, to Supervision\nSupport emergent tooling development activities\nPreparation of Aecon Technical Specifications and requisitions for all tooling spare components, consumables, including special purchasing instructions based on the tooling design\nEnsure all work is performed in accordance with respective tooling maintenance manuals and Aecon Red Book Safety requirements\nAbility to interpret Aecon and customer drawings/schematics, codes, standards, procedures and communicate findings with the applicable project personnel\nEnsure process control is maintained throughout critical tooling maintenance and operation\nManage and maintain comprehensive spare component and consumable inventory to ensure proper tooling operation\nMaintain and execute regular preventative maintenance on all program tooling to ensure optimal operation\nProvide OPEX on tooling design changes that would optimize tooling maintenance and performance operation\nOther tasks as assigned\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nMinimum 3 years of manufacturing/fabrication or related industry, knowledge\nGraduate of Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Program or equivalent, or equivalent practical experience\nStrong working knowledge of electrical/electronic schematics and use of proper diagnostic equipment are essential\nStrong working knowledge and interpretation of mechanical drawings are essential\nManual disassembly/assembly of equipment, electrical/electronic components and umbilical assemblies are essential\nKnowledge of Liburdi welding systems and equipment is an asset\nKnowledge of Wachs SDB and EB2 Milling equipment is an asset\nStrong written, verbal communication and problem-solving skills\nWorking knowledge with MS based computer applications\nWorking knowledge on Solid works or CATIA an asset\nWork well in a Team Environment\nReason for vacancy: Replacement\nSalary range: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
