Guided by our core value of Safety Always, we partner with clients to build the infrastructure that powers the future.\nReporting to the Superintendent, the Foreperson, will be responsible for providing support and in-depth knowledge in the field regarding all matters of construction electrical matters to ensure the team achieves their general and specific project requirements.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nResponsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required. \nAccurately record and communicate the hours worked and operational issues. \nOperate and promote safe working on site. \nEnsure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements. \nConduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings. \nEnsure site personnel have job relevant training requirements which is entered on site personnel training register. \nEnsure workers complete all required documentation and track and document daily work productions. \nResponsible for equipment and materials management. \nAdhere to all company and client occupational health and safety guidelines and regulations. \nEnsure all electrical installations follow applicable regulations and trade practices. \nComplete maintenance & safety reports and ensure paperwork is completed timely and legibly. \nScope and order material for projects and daily work requirements. \nTravel to remote locations and work at heights outdoors in all types of weather conditions. \nWork with heavy equipment and cranes. \nTest continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, and if need be, replacing or repair following proper installation guidelines. \nLead by example to others on site. \nBe a positive team member through open communication and active participation in coordinating crew tasks \nDrive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging. \nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve high performance. \nMinimum 5 years of experience in utility and powerline construction. \nProven ability to oversee large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders. \nJourneyman Powerline Technician or Electrician and industry related safety certification. \nExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment. \nKnowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirements \nExperience in electrical commercial construction and maintenance. \nProficient Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). \nA professional and respectful attitude with a strong customer service focus. \nExceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and written. \nAbility to work independently and cohesively within groups. \nCapable of working at various heights with the ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time. \nKnowledge to interpret electrical code with a high level of mathematical aptitude. \nWillingness to travel and work in remote job locations. \nMechanical strength and manual dexterity with the ability to distinguish colors to work with color-coded wiring. \nBe a champion of inclusion and diversity. \nThe expected hourly wage for this position is $95 - 100/hr per the current Collective Agreement.
