In the Caribbean region, we are leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach to deliver world-class infrastructure projects tailored to meet the unique needs of the island communities.\nAs a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Aecon International, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to streamline project costs and mitigate risks, all while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nCoordinate and support mechanical scopes of work across facilities and systems interfaces.\nAssist with planning, sequencing, and execution of mechanical activities in alignment with the project schedule and construction phasing.\nReview M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and RFIs to identify conflicts, constructability issues, and interface risks.\nWork closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and Subcontractors to resolve technical and coordination issues.\nTrack and report progress of mechanical installations, inspections, and deficiencies.\nCoordinate mechanical and electrical inspections and ensure work complies with international and regional standards and project specifications.\nSupport testing, commissioning, and system turnover activities, including documentation and close-out requirements.\nParticipate in coordination meetings with civil, architectural, track, and systems teams to ensure interface alignment.\nMaintain accurate records including drawings, logs, quantities, and installation status.\nPromote a strong safety culture, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project safety standards and provincial regulations.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nDegree with 2:2 or higher is preferred.\nHold a full driver’s license is preferred.\nUnderstanding of mechanical systems, engineered tools/equipment, automated systems, and remote tooling systems.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.\nStrong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nFlexibility to work in both field and office environments.\nAecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
