Aecon Industrial provides its clients with a vertically integrated solution, self-performing all disciplines of work.\nThe Materials Coordinator will report to the Materials Manager and will be responsible for the receipt, recording, issuance tracking and planning of critical materials and equipment. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members and will be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvements of material handling methods.\nPlease Note:\nThis is a site-based position based in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.\nThe schedule consists of 10 consecutive working days, with 4 consecutive days off. Hours of work are set at 10 hours per day.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nResponsible for the receipt, issuance and tracking of materials and equipment; coordinate, support, prepare and review delivery documents to/from site.\nInterpret and complete materials take offs from project drawings. This would also include checking or validating the drafted supplied drawings.\nExpediting of Materials and Services in order to meet project schedules\nPrepares material data packages.\nPrepares Material Readiness Reviews as part of the Construction Work Package review cycle.\nCo-ordination of work with project team including QC / Procurement / Project Management and Field Engineering.\nCo-ordination with material handling personnel (Shippers/Receivers)\nCycle count verification and maintaining a high degree of inventory accuracy.\nSupports and assists Construction Manager as required.\nEnters receipts and other associated essential data into the Project database SAP or other similar system as defined by the Project.\nFollow the Project specific Material Control Plan\nEnsures that all materials are correctly identified, safely stored, and preserved in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.\nFollows the Project Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.\nFollows the Project, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.\nOther duties as required.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nMinimum 3 years of engineering and/or construction project experience, experience in materials management, and logistics.\nTechnical (Engineering or Engineering Technology) education is an asset.\nStrong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.\nAbility to deliver and perform tasks with minimal supervision.\nStrong skills in MS Excel required.\nKnowledge of SharePoint and SAP applications an asset.\nAbility to identify construction materials and consumables.\nAecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
