If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nCanAtom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RFBR) of Units 5-8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the CanAtom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future.\nThe Modification Team Lead will report to the Area Manager and will be responsible for reviewing relevant design documentation, and providing guidance to to the design team.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nPrimary interface with OPG-Design Team lead (DTL)\n\nOverall responsibility for OPG-ECC adherence and SLN QA within the design team\n\nParticipate in technical reviews of design packages for both Categories 1 & 2 tooling\n\nEnsuring quality, consistency and neatness of RFR packages across all design team disciplines\n\nSPOC for COIR within the team - maintain with current revision and rollout changes to JV team\n\nSPOC for updates to Asset Suite (Passport) within OPG\n\nResponsible to coordinate/conduct design review meetings and COMS meetings\n\nEnsure open item and Action items are implemented in the detailed design documents.\n\nSupporting all Engineering activities in compliance with the COIR.\n\nEvaluate efficiency of office engineering practice and programs.\n\nAssisting with the technical mentoring of Project personnel and supervising the engineering team’s performance and quality of work.\n\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nDegree in an Engineering Discipline from an accredited university or college\n\nRegistered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and member in good standing.\n\nExperience within the Nuclear sector, in particular life extension and refurbishments.\n\nGood knowledge of Nuclear facility mechanical and process equipment.\n\nProficiency in office-related software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. In addition, knowledge of Engineering Software would be an advantage.\n\nExtensive knowledge of relevant codes and standards, in particular CSA N285.0 and ASME III.\n\nExcellent client service, written and oral communication skills.\n\nExperience in dealing with the CNSC and TSSA.\n\nAt CanAtom, we are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace.
