Through this collaborative approach, the Alliance is helping drive the modernization of key sections of the rail network as part of the GO Expansion Program.\nIf you're passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a progressive and modern way of working, we want to hear from you.\nThe Opportunity\nONxpress Civil Joint Venture is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Paralegal to join our Legal Affairs team.\nThe successful candidate will support a broad range of contract administration, claims management, dispute resolution, litigation support, regulatory compliance, legal operations, and corporate governance activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside lawyers, commercial managers, project executives, contract administrators, procurement professionals, and engineers on one of Canada's most significant transportation infrastructure projects. Inspired by similar senior paralegal functions supporting complex engineering and regulated industries, this position combines traditional paralegal responsibilities with strategic project and legal operations support.\nWhat You'll do \nAssist with the review, drafting, preparation, and administration of contracts, amendments, notices, correspondence, and other legal documentation.\nMaintain legal records, contract databases, and document management systems.\nSupport the Legal Department with contract administration, claims tracking, dispute files, and regulatory compliance matters.\nCoordinate with project teams to collect, organize, and maintain documentation required for contractual, legal, and commercial matters.\nConduct legal and regulatory research and prepare summaries, chronologies, reports, and briefing materials.\nAssist with construction claims, dispute resolution matters, and supporting documentation.\nSupport the preparation of proposals, prequalification submissions, and responses requiring legal documentation or information.\nAssist with the management of external legal counsel and legal service providers.\nSupport insurance, risk management, and corporate governance activities.\nTrack contractual deadlines, notice requirements, and compliance obligations.\nAssist in developing and maintaining legal templates, policies, and procedures.\nProvide general administrative and operational support to the Legal Department.\nWhat You Bring\nDiploma or Degree in Paralegal Studies, Law Clerk, Legal Administration, or a related field.\nLicensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario is considered an asset.\n5+ years of experience in a legal, construction, infrastructure, engineering, or corporate environment.\nExperience supporting contract administration, commercial contracts, claims, or legal operations.\nExperience with Performance Security forms and experience with claims.\nUnderstanding of legal principles, contract management, legal research, and document control processes.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.\nAbility to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting major infrastructure, transit, construction, or engineering projects.\nFamiliarity with construction contracts, subcontracts, procurement agreements, and claims processes.\nExperience working with external counsel and multidisciplinary project teams.\nExperience supporting contract negotiations, proposal submissions, or dispute-related matters.\nExpected compensation for this role is between $75,000.00 and $95,000.00 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors, including skills, experience, and potential impact in the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration.
