We are focused on hiring only those exceptional individuals who value safety in the workplace and remain committed to the collective goal of maintaining our Aecon ‘zero injury’ culture.\nACSI is seeking Pipefitter / Steamfitter Apprentice & Journeypersons who will be integral to our projects success, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This role requires in depth understanding of pipefitting techniques, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have rigorous attention to detail, ensuring that systems are install correctly and efficiently. Your expertise will support a range of activities that include understanding flow, pressure and temperature specifications which are critical to the safe operation of piping networks.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and drawings.\nRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.\nMeasure and cut pipes using various tools to ensure proper fit before installation.\nJoin pipes using welding, soldering, or adhesive techniques ensuring leak-proof connections.\nInspect and test piping systems for safety and performance, adjusting as necessary.\nCollaborate with other trades professionals to ensure timely completion of projects.\nFollow all safety protocol, policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.\nJourneyperson will mentor apprentices.\nRequirements and Experience\nValid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket or indentured in a Provincial apprenticeship program.\nCSTS-20 Certificate\nFall Protection - In Class\nMobile Elevated Work Platform - In Class\nConfined Space\nExperience as a Pipefitter in an industrial construction environment.\nProven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.\nAbility to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.\nAbility to work in all weather conditions and environments.\nMust have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.\nMust be fluent in English, both written and verbal.\nProject: Dow Path2Zero\nLocation: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta\nRate: $31.20/hr to $52.00/hr\nOvertime: 1.5x OT after 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week\nSchedule: 10 days on, 4 days off\nCamp: N/A\nAllowances: N/A\nAecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
