With more than a century of experience and a full suite of integrated services, Aecon is a trusted partner for delivering complex civil projects, including tunnels, transit expansions, airports, ports, highways, and large-scale site development.\nReporting to the Planning Manager, the Planner supports effective project delivery by developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and providing reliable schedule analysis to the project team. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and close coordination with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nPerforms and/or coordinates, collects, verifies, and integrates the work scope for all entities into the total project plan.\nReviews the representation of project scope in schedules.\nDevelops and maintains all the required project schedules and ensures integrity of data across the entire project life cycle.\nCreates and implements key scheduling requirements such as bespoke activity coding, naming conventions, client requirements management protocol, project calendars, and resource and plant data libraries.\nSupports resource planning and analysis.\nForecasts the requirement of various types of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, over the course of the project based on work front analysis.\nPerforms productivity analysis of construction operations and verifies accordingly.\nEstablishes productivity basis to be utilized in estimates, as developed in concurrence with construction, and reviews labor estimates for reasonableness.\nPrepares required progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to all internal and external clients.\nAnalyzes schedule variance, float and trending, and monitors schedule KPIs.\nDevelops progress measurement processes and analyzes progress and performance data.\nManages schedule change notices, forecasts project impacts, and implements corrective actions when performance trends deviate from baseline.\nPerforms audits on various schedules, including those produced by subcontractors, and prepares all required output documents.\nCollaborates with all cross-functional teams to maintain, add, or modify schedule data and plans.\nSupports the 5D schedule integration process with the 3D model and cost data and reports outputs, including cash flow and sequence simulations.\nCreates and maintains a collaborative culture and environment that is open, inclusive, and respectful.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nUndergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n5 - 7 years of planning experience in major civil infrastructure projects.\nProven experience and ability in planning, scheduling, and managing complex projects.\nProven problem solver with sound judgment who accepts ownership and accountability.\nExpert-level knowledge of project planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and TILOS.\nSAP, Hard Dollar, Power BI, and Synchro knowledge will be considered an asset.\nReason for Vacancy: New\nThe expected pay range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
