The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, feeders, and steam generators as well as technical development, construction management and trade labour\nAecon Nuclear is also currently at the forefront of the next generation of Nuclear Power in Canada developing the construction plan and manufacturing details for the SMR facility in Darlington.\nReporting directly to the Project Finance Manager, the Project Accountant will be responsible for ensuring proper tracking, analysis and forecasting of project costs and provide job costing information to project management.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nEnter client billings into the applicable system\nWork closely with Finance Manager in preparing monthly progress invoices to client\nAssist in compiling contract billings, managing change orders and subcontracts\nAssist with the review of project cost reports and with developing Estimated Costs at Completion (ECAC)\nAssist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and to prepare financial reports\nAssist with audits - financial, Internal control & tax\nAssist with month end close and prepare necessary journal entries\nPrepare and enter month end accruals and cost transfers\nPrepare monthly related reconciliations\nAssist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements, supporting schedules and reports\nAssist in the preparation of cash flows for the project\nAssist with audits - financial, Internal control & tax\nAssist in dealing with tax authorities, unions, suppliers & sub-contractors\nParticipate in the preparation of project forecasts quarterly/ annual Business Plans/ Budgets for the project\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting\n3+ years of experience, pursuing CPA designation is considered an asset\nExperience with SAP, BPC and Business Objects is valued\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to balance and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment\nAbility to work with internal/ external stakeholders\nExperience in construction or related industry is considered an asset\nReason for Vacancy: Replacement\nThe expected pay range for this role is $70,000 - $80,0000 per year.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
