Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.\nReporting to the responsible Project Manager, the Project Coordinator coordinates the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering, including in the production and execution of project documentation, including Construction Work Packages, within their defined scope.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nAssist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering. \nProvides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules\nCoordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc.\nProvide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures.\nProvide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow. \nForecast and tracks change orders and scope changes\nCoordinates all site procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, materials material tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field\nEstablish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.\nDevelop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.\nManage an OPEX Lessons Learned Program\nEvaluate detailed data on loss time and resources\nProvide screening and apparent cause evaluations of adverse condition or event reports.\nAssess the scope and technical basis of the project to determine opportunities for effort reduction while still achieving project objectives\nPrepare analysis reports, and supportable recommendations and business cases for implementing changes to the “means and methods”, processes, constraints, technical basis, tooling, equipment, training, facilities, or any facet of the Project, aimed at improving the Project Performance.\nMaintain high standards related to final product quality\nPerform regular field tours to check work progress and meet with project site personnel.\nCarry out site safety inspections.\nParticipate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement\nWhat You Bring to the Table:\nPost secondary education in an Engineering or Technology Mechanical Electrical or Civil discipline.\nMinimum 3 - 5 years experience in project engineering in a construction or EPC environment\nExcellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills\nStrong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team\nOrganizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated \nThrive in a fast-paced environment\nThe expected pay range for this role is $74,000 - $100,000 per year.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
