If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nThe Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.\nIn addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has been awarded contracts for Unit 5, 7, and 8 for steam generator replacements as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project.\nThe Project Coordinator will report to the Field Engineering Manager. Following the Field Engineering Manager’s review of the project estimate, budget, commercial and the technical review of the project, the Project Coordinator directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering and construction requirements within the scope of a specified project. The Project Coordinator will assist in the development of Construction Work Packages for their assigned work scope.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nCreate Construction Work Packages for assigned scope of work.\nProvides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules.\nControls expenditures within limitations of project budget.\nCoordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, turnover documents, etc.\nReviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications.\nCoordinates activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.\nEvaluates and recommends design changes, specifications and drawing releases.\nInterfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.\nProvides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.\nAssists and monitors safety programs and statistics as required.\nWrites and reviews purchase specifications and subcontract documents.\nCoordinates all site procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, materials material tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field.\nActive involvement in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing policies and procedures.\nProvides estimating and project management back-up as required.\nPerforms such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor/manager.\nDevelop and write reports, business correspondence.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nPost-secondary school education in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management disciplines; or acceptable combination of education and previous experience.\nA minimum of 1-3 years working as a Project Coordinator or equivalent role, ideally in project engineering or EPC environment (co-op placement experience will be considered).\nProficient in software related to construction industry as required (e.g. Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP etc.).\nExcellent Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).\nExcellent analytical and organizational skills.\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nReason for vacancy: Replacement\nSalary range: $70,000 - $90,000\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
