Reporting to the Site Manager, the Project Coordinator/Engineer will provide support to their assigned team and project.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nCollaborate with the Site Manager on cost tracking, projections and follow-ups.\nReview subcontractors’ monthly progressive payment requests.\nWork with the Superintendent, Site Manager, Project Engineers and subcontractors to plan and execute the work.\nCollaborate with internal departments to ensure that all project requirements are met.\nDraft method statements in collaboration with subcontractors to ensure technical, safety and environmental compliance of the work.\nPrepare concrete order requirements and assist in coordinating deliveries.\nUpdate and maintain concrete pour records to ensure accurate tracking and documentation.\nAssist the Project Engineer in preparing and updating four-week lookahead schedules based on site conditions, project priorities and coordination with subcontractors.\nPrepare and submit daily reports, including activities performed, delays and coordination issues.\nPerform field supervision and conduct site inspections to ensure work is executed in accordance with project plans, specifications and safety standards. This includes rebar, formwork, embeds and all other construction elements, as well as preparing the required quality documentation.\nPrepare weekly progress reports summarizing completed activities, upcoming work, key issues and overall site progress.\nMonitor site installations to detect clashes or interferences between systems from various disciplines and report them for resolution.\nPerform and update quantity take-offs throughout design development, monitoring changes and evaluating their cost implications.\nThoroughly document the construction process, flag deviations and monitor corrections.\nAssist in pricing and procuring work packages and estimates as required.\nEnsure construction materials comply with technical specifications and the project budget.\nAssist in the technical monitoring and development of project schedules, construction plans and construction procedures.\nPromote a culture of “no injury or harm to people” and lead by example.\nConsult and communicate with all personnel on health and safety matters, procedures and instructions.\nComply with all South Fraser Station Partners policies and procedures.\nComply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.\nDraft RFIs and NCRs as required and prepare closeout reports.\nRead, understand and apply the ITPs and project specifications.\nAssist the Project Engineer with design coordination, including meeting with the consultant to find solutions for site conditions.\nAssist the Project Engineer with shop drawing submittals and approvals.\nRead, understand and apply the IFC drawings.\nOrder any materials required for the construction of the project.\nAssist and contribute to coordination meetings with subcontractors.\nCoordinate with the surveyor for all applicable activities.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nUndergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.\nFive or more years of experience in building construction or a related field.\nProficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and shop drawings.\nFamiliarity with civil, architectural, structural and MEP systems.\nKnowledge of engineering drawings, specifications and construction documents.\nAwareness of safety regulations, codes and quality-control practices.\nExperience estimating and pricing construction scopes.\nBasic understanding of AutoCAD or Revit for design review.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.\nExperience with standard engineering software.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nAttention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to work at heights.\nWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.\nCompensation\nThe expected pay range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per year.\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
