Aecon Industrial provides its clients with a vertically integrated solution, self-performing all disciplines of work.\nWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Heavy Industrial) to lead the successful delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee project execution from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.\nThis role is ideal for a construction leader who thrives in dynamic industrial environments and has experience managing multidisciplinary scopes including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation work.\nPlease Note: The successful candidate must be willing to travel and support projects across Ontario and other project locations as required.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nLead the execution of heavy industrial construction projects ranging from brownfield expansions and capital upgrades to greenfield construction projects.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary construction activities involving civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation scopes.\nDevelop and implement execution strategies that maximize self-perform construction capabilities, workforce productivity, and safe delivery.\nManage project operations in active industrial facilities while minimizing disruption to ongoing client operations.\nCollaborate closely with construction managers, superintendents, project controls, procurement, engineering, quality, safety, and commissioning teams.\nDrive planning initiatives including constructability reviews, workface planning, turnover planning, commissioning readiness, and closeout planning.\nEnsure compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, environmental obligations, quality requirements, and industry best practices.\nMonitor labour productivity, equipment utilization, subcontractor performance, and project financial metrics to achieve project objectives.\nLead mitigation and recovery plans when project risks, productivity challenges, scope changes, or schedule impacts arise.\nSupport client relationship management and proposal development activities as required. \nWhat You'll Do Here:\n10+ years of progressive construction experience, including project management responsibility on large-scale industrial projects.\n\nPost-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary scopes including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and/or instrumentation construction.\n\nProven experience managing projects with significant self-perform construction content.\n\nStrong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, contract administration, forecasting, change management, and risk management.\n\nExperience leading union and/or non-union workforces in industrial construction environments.\n\nExperience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nStrong understanding of industrial safety programs, quality management systems, turnover, commissioning, and closeout processes.\n\nAbility and willingness to travel to project sites as required.\n\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation considered an asset.\n\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification considered an asset.\n\nExperience with collaborative delivery models such as Design-Build, EPC, EPCM, Construction Management, Alliance, P3, or Integrated Project Delivery.\n\nExperience implementing Lean Construction principles.\n\nExperience with BIM, digital construction tools, project controls platforms, or project management software considered an asset.\n\nReason for vacancy: New\nThe expected pay range for this role is: $110,000 - $160,000 per year\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
