In the Caribbean region, we are leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach to deliver world-class infrastructure projects tailored to meet the unique needs of the island communities.\nAs a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to streamline project costs and mitigate risks, all while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations. This role is based in the Caribbean.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nAssist with the compilation of tender packages for all subcontract and self-perform trades.\nReceive tender packages and assist with the analysis of each work package and development of Commercial Summaries.\nNegotiate with subcontractors and vendors to address any tender conditions/qualifications.\nIssue subcontract orders in accordance with project requirements and best practices, within budget and project program requirements.\nAttend subcontract pre-order meetings.\nLiaise with the site management team to review subcontract performance and compliance with contract conditions.\nReview, value, and certify subcontract monthly payment applications.\nDraft purchase requisitions for material purchases.\nUnderstand and implement Aecon’s and project-specific standard operating procedures.\nCarry out quantity take-offs using On-Screen Take-Off Software for the development of Bills of Quantities, assessment of subcontract claims, and variations.\nManage the subcontract and main contract change control process.\nAssist with the management of subcontract and work package budgets, providing support to the Commercial Manager where needed for the submission of monthly applications to the client.\nReview, evaluate, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.\nParticipate in monthly financial forecasting, including compiling contract costs.\nPrepare estimates and costs for the work and monitor them during the project.\nAssist in the preparation and agreement of subcontractor final accounts.\nPerform general commercial departmental administration.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant field would be ideal.\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in the construction surveying industry.\nAttention to detail coupled with exceptional planning and organizational skills.\nDemonstrated interest in all aspects of Quantity Surveying and a desire to work in a dynamic workplace that provides outstanding career opportunities.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work flexibly in a team environment and a strong work ethic.\nProfessional membership of the CIQS, PQS, RICS, or working towards designation.\nAecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
