The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.\nAs part of this project, we are currently looking for a Readiness Coordinator to join our team.\nWhat You Will Do:\nReporting directly to the Readiness Director, supporting all aspects of delivery and handover of advanced project scopes\nDevelop STC specific closeout and handover program working directly with the client and third-party stakeholders\nCoordinate with Client on the status/progress of works, manage risks, explain methodologies, and stakeholder management.\nCoordinate with the design team as it relates to planning and to execute of closeout and phase completion\nCoordinate with subcontractors and construction team to support closeout and handover\nCoordinate with stakeholders for agreements, permits, approvals, and to obtain additional information.\nEnsure cost reports, inventory, and quantity tracking meet specifications.\nUnderstand, communicate, and enforce the contract documents and RFI’s when discrepancies occur.\nIdentify and manage risks and opportunities on the project.\nMonitor cost and schedule and correct deviations to keep the project on time and within budget.\nExperience You Will Bring:\nEngineering / Engineering Technologist / Construction Technology Diploma, Degree, or Post-grad Certificate required.\n3+ years of construction experience; multi-disciplinary, large-scale projects would be an asset.\nExperience working with TTC would be an asset\nCapable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.\nSound computer skills - MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD.\nStrong communication skills - oral and written.\nSelf-motivated with good organizational skills.\nAbility to work accurately under pressure.\nAdaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.\nAbility to work with others as a team.\nWhy Join Us?\nCompensation: $90,000 - $115,000 annually.
