If you’re inspired to make a difference through future-building projects, join our best-in-class team.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nAecon is a nuclear constructor leader in extending the life of existing nuclear stations and executing the next generation of nuclear new builds in Canada and the U.S. We provide a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) nuclear services for refurbishment, maintenance, new build, decommissioning, modularization, and fabrication scopes, safely delivering through exacting standards and proven results.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nParticipate in estimation efforts for Proposal Schedules including resource and contingency estimates.\nSet Project baseline schedules at award, drafting the supporting Basis of Schedule and narratives, securing approval, maintaining records, and aligning with project budget setup and initial risk register.\nCreate resource-loaded outage schedules with high attention to detail, shifts, calendars, etc.\nSet the rules of credit with project management while considering cost management.\nSynchronize schedules in Aecon Database and Client Database.\nIntegrate, monitor, and control suppliers’ and subcontractors’ schedules.\nOrganize internal meetings to validate progress and provide feedback.\nUpdate the schedules daily, weekly, monthly, or as required by the project.\nConduct Critical Path, Variance, What-If, Resources, Burn Rates, Risk, and Contingency analyses.\nCreate weekly look-ahead schedules, flag deviations, and propose corrective actions to project teams.\nPay attention to commercial, contractual, and internal changes to analyze impacts and adhere to the Change Management Process through accurate change logs.\nReview and revise schedule logic as needed, demonstrating impacts to Project Management and Corporate Project Controls while logging all changes.\nEstablish Earned Value dashboards summarizing schedule information, tracking milestones and resource histograms, and providing inputs to internal and external reporting in alignment with Cost Management.\nLead and own the reporting process and validate reports with the Project Manager prior to submission.\nAlign schedule re-baselines with budget re-forecasts and other Earned Value metrics.\nAnalyze schedule quality utilizing assessment tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse).\nAttend and lead meetings with clients and subcontractors to support project scheduling activities.\nSupport the risk management process by providing inputs into schedule risk analysis modeling.\nContinuously provide solutions and ideas to improve Project Controls processes.\nMaintain the Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) and proper record keeping of backups.\nCreate and maintain a project-specific Schedule Management Plan.\nProvide subject-matter expertise to the project team on any customized reporting tools and dashboards.\nProvide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.\nProvide inputs and participate in Aecon Continuous Improvement processes and activities.\nContribute to lessons learned and deliver presentations to raise Scheduling and Project Controls awareness for project teams.\nCommunicate all activities promptly to Project Management and Corporate Project Controls.\nPerform all activities in compliance with Aecon Project Controls standards, guidelines, industry best practices, and client requirements.\nAssure integrated Project Controls performance considering Cost, Change, Risk Management, and Reporting.\nCoordinate with other departments including Commercial, Design, Procurement, Construction, Finance, etc.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nQuantitative, Engineering, or Construction Management post-secondary degree; university graduate preferred.\nMinimum 10 years of experience.\nProficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.\nPrevious exposure and experience in Outage/Maintenance/Turnaround scheduling.\nSAP and estimation software knowledge and experience preferred.\nEPC Contractor (Self-Perform) experience with diverse contract types (Fixed Price, T&M, etc.).\nConstruction field experience.\nDemonstrated analytical and adaptive thinking with strong team collaboration skills.\nMeticulous approach focused on quality.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAgility and flexibility in a dynamic environment with innovative problem-solving skills.\nProject Controls Ambassador.\nMega-project or portfolio project experience.\nDemonstrated Project Controls technical knowledge (e.g., PMI Certification).\nStakeholder management experience.\nStrategic orientation.\nClaims avoidance and/or claims negotiation experience.\nHourly Range & Benefits\nHourly Range: $85.00 - $95.00 hourly\nBenefits Include:\n401K (comprehensive match plan)\nAecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
