Aecon and United have a proven working relationship and the United team continues to operate in the market as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.\nWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with nuclear engineering experience to support work at the Vistra Comanche Peak nuclear station. The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers in Glen Rose, TX working on plant modification packages. The candidate will support complex engineering assignments including preparation of packages that include specifications and data sheets, calculations, and modifications to existing plant drawings; provide support to proposals, prepare purchase requisitions; review vendor drawings and develop cost and budget estimates and schedules and scope of work documents.\nHybrid and/or remote work arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nPrepare Engineering Change Packages including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics, single line, and three-line drawings for plant modification packages including digital upgrades.\nPrepare specifications for major electrical and control equipment. \nPrepare AC and DC loading, short circuit and electrical protection calculations\nPerform Digital Upgrade evaluations\nInterface with equipment vendors, including providing oversight and review of project submittals such as drawings, O&M manuals and software quality documentation\nCandidates will support multiple projects and support coordination of activities with clients, contractors, vendors and other members of the project teams.\nWhat You Bring To The Team:\nB.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4-year university \n8 years’ overall experience in design, operations or field service/support for power plants or heavy industrial facilities\n5 years of experience relating to design of operating nuclear power plants in the U.S.\nNANTeL Certified in the Nuclear Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-01)\nCurrent or recent qualifications to independently prepare nuclear modification packages at a commercial nuclear plant (i.e., qualified to a utility/owner Quality Assurance program) [preferred]\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license in US (preferred)\nStrong knowledge of engineering design and analysis. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.\nFamiliarity with nuclear regulations and industry standards\nExperience to include leading a team of engineers and technicians and training/mentoring junior staff\nGood written and oral communication skills.
